Welcome to Safe Preservation

Embryologists and gynecologists face the dilemma of having to choose between using an open system or a closed system when it comes to vitrifying oocytes or embryos.

This dilemma is even more evident in light of Covid pandemic. In line with the recent guidence published by ESHRE (refer to ESHRE Guidance on Recommencing ART treatments_update 04052020 ), High security straws (like SafeSpeed device) and/or vapour phase storage tanks should be used for cryopreservation of samples from COVID-19 positive patients.

  • Open system: excellent results, but there is a risk of contamination.
  • Closed system: poor results, although safer</strong at the medical level.

Thanks to the Safespeed method carried out at Safe Preservation</strong, we have obtained for the first time optimal results in oocytes, embryos and blastocysts, as well as subsequent embryonic development.

Effectiveness of the SafeSpeed Method

  • Closed system that has equal or greater effectiveness than current open systems.
  • As a closed system, it complies with current regulations that prohibit open systems.
  • With the use of the method and technique involved in the system, a 100% probability of success is obtained.
  • Thanks to the agreement with Ginemed there are workshops where clinics interested in the method are trained.
